Sunlo Fabrics App Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

This privacy policy describes how the Sunlo Fabrics mobile application (the “App”), published by SUNLO (“we”, “us”, or “our”), handles information. The App lets anyone check the live availability of SUNLO fabrics — no account, no sign-in, and no personal information required.

The short version: the App does not collect, store, or share any personal information, and it contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. The sections below explain this in detail.

Information we do not collect

The App has no user accounts and no registration. We do not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact information
  • Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or fingerprints
  • Location data of any kind
  • Photos, videos, contacts, or files from your device
  • Usage analytics, crash reports, or diagnostic data
  • Purchase or payment information (the App sells nothing)

Because we collect nothing, there is nothing for us to sell, rent, share, or lose. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and the App never asks you to identify yourself.

Information stored on your device only

A few things are saved locally so the App works the way you left it. None of this ever leaves your device, and we have no way to see it:

  • Favorites — the fabrics you save, along with their last known availability, so the Favorites tab works even before a refresh.
  • Settings — your theme (light/dark), language (English/Spanish), text size, and whether notifications are enabled.
  • First-run state — whether you have already seen the welcome guide.

You can remove individual favorites at any time by swiping them, and deleting the App erases all of this data permanently.

Network requests

When you search, browse the catalog, refresh your favorites, or scan a sample card, the App sends the search term or fabric SKU to our inventory service to look up current availability. These requests:

  • contain only the search text or SKU — never your name, identifiers, or anything about you or your device beyond what any internet connection technically requires;
  • are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS);
  • are not linked to you, profiled, or used for advertising.

Like any service on the internet, our infrastructure provider receives your device's IP address as part of delivering the response, and may keep short-lived technical logs for security and reliability. We do not use this information to identify anyone.

Service providers

Our inventory service is hosted by Supabase, which acts purely as infrastructure — it stores our fabric availability data and answers the App's read-only queries. Supabase does not receive any personal information from the App. You can read Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.

We use no other third-party services, SDKs, or data processors.

Camera

The App asks for camera access only when you choose to scan the QR code printed on a SUNLO fabric sample card. The camera feed is processed on your device solely to read the fabric SKU encoded in the QR code. No photos or video are captured, saved, or transmitted — anywhere. The camera is optional: typing the SKU into the search field does exactly the same thing. You can revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings → Sunlo Fabrics.

Notifications and background refresh

If you turn on back-in-stock notifications, iOS periodically wakes the App in the background to re-check the availability of your saved favorites. When a fabric comes back in stock, the App shows a local notification — generated entirely on your device. We operate no push-notification server, and enabling notifications sends us nothing. You can turn this off in the App's Settings or in iOS Settings at any time.

Data retention and deletion

We retain no personal data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side. Everything the App stores lives on your device and is removed completely when you delete the App.

Your privacy rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR (Europe) and CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights over personal data that companies hold about you — access, correction, deletion, and portability, among others. Because the App collects no personal data, we hold nothing to access, correct, delete, or export. If you believe otherwise or have any privacy question, contact us using the details below and we will respond promptly.

Children's privacy

The App is a business tool intended for the fabric trade and does not target children. It collects no data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and is rated 4+ only because it contains no objectionable content.

Security

All communication between the App and our inventory service uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. The inventory data the App reads is public, read-only availability information — it contains no customer data by design.

Changes to this policy

If the App ever changes in a way that affects privacy — for example, if a future feature required collecting any information — we will update this policy, change the date at the top, and describe the change here before it takes effect.
